Cumulus Undulatus Fractus INFRASTRUCTURE

Each unique, handmade artist books, created by Jon Lodge to accompany his exhibit, Fracture, exhibited at MAM March 5, 2021 through July 17, 2021.

"9,889 offset prints, each 23 x 35 inches, were printed using systems and techniques that pulverize and fracture the machine's precision image control systems, producing random/glitched images in infinite variations. These 23 x 35 inch prints were then scanned and re-fractured to interface with the book/zine page size (8.5 x 10 in.) then imprinted on 778 of the original random/glitched prints harvested from the sculpture Cumulus Undulatus Fractus. This process generates randomness and chaos within the grid forms--precipitating yet another layer of chance permutations producing Cumulus Undulatus Fractus INFRASTRUCTURE, 28-page artist book (zine)."
