Classes And Workshops
All year long, MAM connects adults, teens, and children of all ages to contemporary art and artists to provide unique and engaging hands-on art experiences. Please register early (if recommended/required) to ensure your space. Registration fee (minus $20) is refundable only if cancellation is made seven days prior to the first class meeting. Sibling discount: Take 20% off when registering two or more children for the same class/camp!
MAM believes that art should be accessible to everyone! Most of our educational programs are free and scholarships are available when programs require a fee. Please download the scholarship form and email us for more information.
Free Saturday Multi-Age Workshop with BT Livermore
October 12
11 AM - 12:30 PM
Create your very own mini felt pennant to take home or give as a gift. Felt pennants, traditionally limited to the world of sports merchandise, have so many other fun possibilities to offer. Led by exhibiting artist, BT Livermore. All ages welcome. Materials provided. No experience required; just bring your ideas!
Children ages 7 and under should be accompanied by an adult.

Art in the Moment! Now meeting two times monthly!
Art in the Moment will meet two times monthly, beginning September 2024! This creative aging program is offered in partnership with the MT Alzheimer’s Association. This interactive art program allows participants to engage with others while viewing and creating original works of art with MAM Curator of Education, Kay Grissom-Kiely, and professional teaching artist, Bev Beck Glueckert.

Sessions meet at MAM on the first and third Monday of each month from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Each month, the programs focus on one exhibition with a different art project for each session.

After School Art Adventure

Teaching Artist: Donna Flanery
Session 1: Tuesdays: September 17-October 29, 3:45-5:15pm
Session 2: Tuesdays: November 5-December 10, 3:45-5:15pm
Ages 6 to 11. Kids create artwork inspired by the exhibitions at MAM.
There will be a short tour and a series of projects related to what the students see.
Teen Art Project (TAP)

Teen Open Studio (TOS)
Saturdays, Oct. 12 to Dec. 14
12:30 to 3 PM
FREE. On Saturday afternoons middle and high school students gather to make art in MAM’s classroom with unlimited art supplies. World-class contemporary art in the galleries at MAM can inspire new ideas and new ways to create. Overseen by museum education staff and interns. Drop-ins welcome!
